Integrated STEM+CT for K-2 In and Out of School

Our work focuses on integrating engineering design practices and computational thinking activities into a 7-day integrated STEM+literacy unit for grades K-2 and promoting additional STEM+C learning through a complementary exhibit we developed and installed at our local science center. Our research demonstrates that children are capable of engaging in engineering design and computational thinking practices, and that the inclusion of interesting and compelling contexts can facilitate this learning.
